If you’ve followed me for a while, you know me as a freelance hair and makeup artist through Hair & Makeup by Cassy Laessig. I’ve had the honor of being part of so many beautiful wedding mornings in Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Working with brides over the years, one thing kept coming up:

“Do you have recommendations for a photographer?”

“Who’s a good DJ up here?”

“Are there any outdoor venues on the water?”

So I decided to create something bigger than just hair and makeup.

I’m so excited to officially introduce The Up North Bride — a curated wedding directory designed to connect local couples with venues and vendors across the Northern Wisconsin, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and the surrounding Great Lakes islands.

Why I Created It

As a wedding vendor myself, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when the right team comes together. The energy is better. The timeline flows. The couple feels more taken care of.

I created The Up North Bride to:

• Make vendor discovery easier for couples
