MEET CASSY

Hi there!

I'm Cassy Laessig, an on-location beauty and special effects hair and makeup artist, passionate about the art of transforming the human canvas. With an extensive background spanning over 8 years in the industry, I've had the privilege of collaborating with diverse clientele, contributing to fashion shows, movies, music videos, commercial shoots, red carpet events, weddings, and more.

My journey began in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where I earned a Cosmetology certificate from Gogebic Community College. Seeking to broaden my horizons, my next chapter led me to the vibrant city of Los Angeles, CA, where I successfully completed the Master Makeup Artistry Program at Makeup Designory. My work has been featured in various publications such as Bridal Musings, Green Wedding Shoes, VoyageLA, Belle Meade Lifestyle, and my very own passion project, Nashty Bride.

In my career, notable achievements include creating hair and makeup looks for several CMA Award Shows, working behind the scenes at the Grand Ole Opry, and taking charge of hair and makeup for major brands such as Mitsubishi Motors, Tractor Supply Company, NASCAR, NFL, Lifetime, and more. Additionally, I've contributed behind the scenes to multiple feature films, collaborated with over 100 brides, and showcased my skills in both hair and makeup for various commercials and music videos. Some of my most recent work has been seen on CMT, during the 2024 Super Bowl, and on streaming services such as Starz, Tubi, and Amazon Video.

Currently based in the heart of Music City, I specialize in film, photography, weddings, and live events. Excitingly, I'll be extending my artistic reach up north each summer, with projects in Upper Michigan and Northern Wisconsin.
